Luis Paret y Alcazar was a Spanish Rococo artist known for his hyperrealistic textured oil paintings of neoclassical and romantic periods. He is remembered for his vivid depictions of everyday life and stylish enactments of scenes from the commedia dell’arte. His works reflect a great amount of detail and were meant to bring a sense of awe and wonder to the viewer.
