Conceived and executed by architect and interior designer wulicheng, this establishment masterfully integrates oriental cultural elements with modern dining experiences. The design draws profound inspiration from Zhou Dunyi's classical Ode to the Lotus Flower from the Northern Song Dynasty, embodying the philosophical depth of Eastern aesthetics. The space is architecturally distinguished by its innovative two-floor layout, featuring a central axis design with a striking translucent acrylic red wall and a pure copper fireplace as focal points. The interior demonstrates exceptional spatial flexibility through five-meter-high swinging doors that can partition the second floor into three distinct functional areas, accommodating both intimate dining experiences and large-scale events. Notable design elements include a creative reinterpretation of traditional Chinese lattice screens using modern acrylic glass, creating dynamic interplays of light and shadow. The material palette combines oak flooring, black glazed brick, rough stone, metal mesh, stainless steel, and oxidized brass, resulting in a sophisticated aesthetic harmony. The project, completed in 2017, received recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and cultural interpretation.
