Karl Gerstner is a Swiss artist and designer known for his Post-Surrealist works. His style deviates from traditional art, bringing together a range of techniques including photography, photomontage, and geometric abstraction to create works with a unique sense of composition and color. He is most well-known for his book cover and poster designs which he has produced since the 1960s. His work has been showcased in many exhibitions in galleries, museums and cultural institutions across Europe, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Gerstner is also the author of several books and essays on visual art and design.
