Elegance Restaurant is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that masterfully integrates Western and Oriental design elements within a sophisticated dining environment. Located in Taipei and completed in September 2020, this 152-square-meter establishment represents a harmonious fusion of contemporary aesthetics and functional spatial design. The restaurant's distinctive arc-shaped architecture serves as the foundational element, complemented by innovative vertical decorative panels and thoughtfully implemented lighting solutions that create an interplay between light, shadow, and space. The design, conceived by Executive Director Jacksam Yang and Design Director Steven Kuo, showcases a refined balance of materials including solid wood, grey mirror, iron, leather, marble, and steel plate, all carefully selected to enhance the dining experience. The interior space features horizontal wall lines that effectively balance the curved architecture, while floor-to-ceiling windows maximize natural light and urban views. The sophisticated use of mirrors throughout the space employs the concept of solid and void, creating an enhanced sense of spaciousness and reflecting the unique fan-shaped layout. The design's attention to detail extends to its lighting scheme, where warm beams and dim lighting work in concert with earth tones and wooden textures to create an atmosphere that seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetics. This exceptional design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its innovative approach to spatial design and its successful integration of modern elements with traditional sensibilities.
