Beacon Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies minimalist design principles through its ingenious use of materials and spatial interaction. Created by Romanian designer Bogdan Moga, this sophisticated lamp employs copper tubing as its primary construction material, incorporating a unique approach to light diffusion by utilizing nearby wall surfaces as reflectors. The design, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, demonstrates exceptional efficiency in both form and function. The lamp's construction integrates high-powered LED bands encapsulated within a transparent resin cylinder, delivering 300 lumens of warm light at 3500K color temperature while consuming only 4.8W of power. Standing at 370mm tall with a footprint of 90mm by 80mm, the fixture features an organically integrated power switch activated by pressing the top cap, eliminating the need for external controls.
