Argo Bar is an innovative hospitality design concept that exemplifies sophisticated interior architecture through its seamless transformation from day to night functionality. Located in Hong Kong, this 255-square-meter establishment represents a significant advancement in adaptive space design, accommodating approximately 70 guests across its main seating area, bar section, and VIP room. The design draws inspiration from conservatory aesthetics, featuring sleek curved metal frames adorned with suspended terrariums and a custom deconstructed chandelier that creates rippling semi-circles above the central bar area. A defining architectural element is its ingenious 2.1-meter diameter structural column, comprising 136 cylinders, 72 of which rotate to reveal carefully curated rare spirits as day transitions to evening. The space employs polished nickel silver throughout, creating a warm ambiance during daylight hours while transforming into a sparkling atmosphere at night through strategic mirror finishing and lighting design. The main seating area showcases a distinctive mint-colored backdrop with custom textured ceramic wallpaper, enhanced by mirror details and nickel silver curvature structures. Drawing inspiration from the Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts, the design serves as a metaphorical vessel for innovation and exploration, offering an escape from urban intensity while maintaining strong connections to its harbor views. This exceptional design earned recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to the field of interior design and its innovative approach to space utilization.
