Aplus Seafood Bar and Restaurant is an innovative interior design project completed in 2018, located in the heart of Taipei, that masterfully blends Eastern and Western cultural elements within a contemporary seafood dining establishment. The 4,520-square-foot space exemplifies a sophisticated fusion of oceanic elements and modern design sensibilities, featuring a dynamic environment that mirrors the fluidity and vitality of marine ecosystems. The interior architecture employs a thoughtfully curated progression of blue tones, transitioning from deep to shallow hues, complemented by custom ceiling-mounted lighting fixtures that create an immersive wave-like effect throughout the space. A centrally positioned bar serves as the focal point of the layout, demonstrating exceptional space optimization while accommodating both intimate gatherings and larger events. The design's distinctive character is further enhanced through a collaboration with a renowned Taiwanese tattoo artist, who created Japanese geisha-themed artwork incorporating oceanic motifs, seamlessly integrating Eastern artistic traditions with contemporary design elements. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, showcases innovative material selection and architectural techniques that effectively convey the concept of cultural fusion while maintaining functionality.
