AngledSHELF Bookshelf is an innovative furniture design that revolutionizes traditional bookshelf architecture through its distinctive angled shelf configuration, created by Professor Kemal Yıldırım. This sophisticated storage solution, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, features a thoughtfully engineered structure that enables books to stand naturally upright through its calculated angular positioning. The bookshelf, measuring 120 cm in width, 30 cm in depth, and 185 cm in height, demonstrates exceptional versatility in its installation options, functioning effectively both as a wall-mounted unit and as a freestanding piece accessible from multiple sides. Constructed from environmentally conscious melamine-coated Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), the design incorporates an ingenious notched assembly system that eliminates the need for additional connection elements, showcasing both practical functionality and sustainable manufacturing principles. The innovative design, inspired by skew lines, challenges conventional bookshelf aesthetics while maintaining superior storage capacity for books of varying dimensions. Its modular nature allows for multiple units to be positioned side by side, creating expansive storage solutions suitable for both residential and commercial environments. The design's technical sophistication is evident in its efficient packaging and transportation capabilities, with the ability to accommodate 440 units within a 20-cubic-foot container, each weighing a maximum of 40 kilograms.
