Angel Seating is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of symbolic meaning and functional aesthetics, created by Iranian designer Forough Pourahmad. This distinctive seating solution draws its inspiration from the celestial imagery of angels, particularly focusing on their protective wings and guardian roles in various belief systems. The design's most striking feature is its elegant framework composed of precisely bent steel tubes that create a wing-like silhouette, measuring 800mm in width, 450mm in depth, and 850mm in height. The chair's construction demonstrates remarkable technical sophistication in its assembly, particularly in the challenging integration of five curved tubes and the seamless connection between the base and seating surface. While initially conceived for stainless steel production, the design's versatility allows for adaptation to various materials including aluminum, plastic, and carbon fiber, showcasing its manufacturing flexibility.
