Álvaro Siza is considered one of the most influential architects of the 20th and 21st centuries. His works are renowned for their sculptural forms and modern design that combine a range of materials and colors. Among Siza’s most notable works are the Boa Nova Tea House in Leça da Palmeira, Portugal, the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto, Portugal, and the Faculty of Architecture building at the University of Porto. He has also been the recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the Golden Lion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, and the Royal Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
