Ztwlab Beauty Centre is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the conventional beauty center concept through its distinctive architectural approach and spatial design philosophy. Located in Hong Kong, this 112-square-meter facility draws inspiration from the architectural aesthetics of La Muralla Roja, particularly its romantic pink color scheme and maze-like visual effects, to create a fantastical and timeless wonderland experience. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully incorporates curved forms and cherry blossom pink hues to create an illusion of endless space while symbolically reflecting feminine aesthetics. The facility's sophisticated layout encompasses multiple functional zones, including a reception counter, waiting areas accommodating up to 15 people, a cosmetic area, eight facial rooms, a doctor's consultation room with an operation area, and staff facilities. A notable design achievement is the innovative treatment of structural elements, such as the transformation of a 900mm-diameter column into an intentional design feature through wooden paneling and symmetrical curved walls. The center's spatial flow is carefully orchestrated, with a circular traffic pattern around the facial rooms ensuring intuitive navigation. The design employs premium materials including water ripple metal sheets on the ceiling and pink marble tiles on the floor, creating a sophisticated interplay of textures and reflections. The lobby's main background wall, ceiling, floor, and reception desk collectively form a static hourglass motif, reinforcing the concept of timelessness while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in both aesthetic and functional aspects.
