Zafiri Cava Deli Retail Shop
Zafiri Cava Deli Retail Shop is an award-winning retail establishment designed by Konstantinos Gkagkos, exemplifying a masterful fusion of traditional island architecture with classical mansion aesthetics. Located in Greece, this 217-square-meter architectural masterpiece distinguishes itself through its imposing arched windows and sophisticated interior design that pays homage to traditional Mediterranean architectural elements. The design concept deliberately evokes the ambiance of a historic mansion, featuring a stately cellar that serves as the heart of the establishment. The interior space is characterized by a harmonious integration of metal and wood elements, complemented by aged earth tones that create a timeless atmosphere. Notable design elements include metal staircases reminiscent of classical libraries, three strategically positioned balconies offering elevated perspectives of the space, and classic chandeliers that enhance the traditional island aesthetic. The project, completed in July 2022, successfully overcomes the challenge of merging island architectural elements with classical mansion features, creating a unique retail environment that serves as a landmark destination. The design's excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative spatial organization, material selection, and cultural relevance. The establishment's architectural composition demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, from its leather furnishings to its fortress-like cellar, creating an immersive retail experience that transcends conventional commercial space design.
