Yorkshire Side Table Dog House

Yorkshire Side Table Dog House

Yorkshire Side Table Dog House is an innovative multifunctional furniture piece that seamlessly combines a side table with a pet accommodation space, exemplifying the integration of practical design with contemporary living solutions. This modernized interpretation of traditional trunk design features a sophisticated drawer system at the top for storage purposes while incorporating a dedicated dog house in its lower section, creating a harmonious balance between human furniture needs and pet comfort. The piece is meticulously crafted using traditional trunk construction techniques, featuring a wooden interior frame enhanced with vegan leather panels and custom-designed metal hardware, including decorative corners and studs that pay homage to classic trunk aesthetics. Measuring 500mm in width, depth, and height, this cubic design showcases careful attention to detail through hand-stitched elements and precisely applied metal components. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design category, represents a thoughtful solution for pet owners seeking to maintain elegant interior spaces while providing their companions with a comfortable resting area. The piece's development, completed in Hong Kong, involved extensive research into historical trunk construction methods and contemporary pet furniture requirements, resulting in a design that successfully addresses the challenge of creating pet-friendly furniture that enhances rather than compromises interior aesthetics. The versatile placement options, whether beside a sofa or bed, ensure that pets can remain close to their owners while maintaining their own dedicated space within the home environment.
