Yijin Jiu Chinese Medicinal Liquor Packaging
Yijin Jiu Chinese Medicinal Liquor Packaging is an innovative packaging design solution that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese medicinal liquor aesthetics with contemporary minimalist design principles. This sophisticated packaging system, designed by Dabin Yao and Ming Mao, comprises a ceramic bottle for internal packaging and a coordinated external carton, both unified by a striking geometric design language. The internal packaging features a meticulously crafted ceramic bottle with a capacity of 600ml, standing 18cm tall with an abdominal diameter of 10.5cm, specifically engineered to preserve the integrity of the medicinal liquor. The external packaging employs a combination of color-printed paper and corrugated materials, ensuring both protective functionality and visual appeal. The design's distinctive aesthetic approach breaks from conventional Chinese medicinal liquor packaging traditions by adopting a refined two-color palette of black and gold, chosen specifically to convey masculinity and strength, while triangular geometric patterns create a visual narrative of fortitude and robustness. This award-winning design, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its departure from traditional ornate styling while maintaining cultural relevance. The packaging's sophisticated integration of form and function addresses both practical considerations of product protection and transportation, while simultaneously elevating the perceived value of the contained medicinal liquor through its premium presentation and thoughtful material selection.
