Wuhan Park Lane Manor Sales Center
Wuhan Park Lane Manor Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project located in Hankou, Wuhan, China, encompassing 552 square meters of meticulously crafted space that seamlessly blends historical elements with contemporary design sensibilities. The project, which earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, draws profound inspiration from Wuhan's rich cultural heritage as 'the most civil city' and particularly from the architectural legacy of Hankou's status as inland China's largest treaty port. The design concept revolves around a central 'street' theme, with the building's model area serving as the primary axis around which all other spaces are thoughtfully arranged. A defining feature of the space is its sophisticated interpretation of the arched colonnade, a characteristic element of historical Concession buildings, which has been refined and transformed from its original structural role into a powerful symbolic element through modern materials and techniques. This transformation represents a deliberate architectural evolution from tangible form to abstract memory, creating a dialogue between past and present. The interior space orchestrates a telescoped view of Wuhan City, where historical elements such as busy wharves and bustling streets are reinterpreted through contemporary design language, resulting in an atmosphere that honors local heritage while embracing modern aesthetics. The project successfully addresses the challenge of creating an environment that resonates with both historical consciousness and contemporary lifestyle aspirations, featuring carefully considered spatial arrangements that facilitate natural flow and engagement with the displayed content. The design team, led by Rongor Kane and including Li Ming, Xiong Yueping, Xie Xuechen, and Huang Fanghua, has created a space that serves not only as a functional sales center but also as a cultural touchpoint that celebrates Wuhan's unique urban identity through sophisticated design elements and thoughtful spatial planning.
