Wu Residence Villa
Wu Residence Villa is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2021, situated in the northern reservoir ecological zone of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, China, renowned for its harmonious integration of modern comfort with Northern European and Japanese design sensibilities. This sophisticated 750-square-meter residence, comprising 450 square meters of indoor living space and 300 square meters of garden area, spans five floors including two underground levels dedicated to garage space, storage, and entertainment facilities. The villa's interior design, created by Guojian Yao, masterfully employs a minimalist approach while incorporating natural materials such as ceramic tile slabs, natural marble, and solid wood flooring to establish a serene, texture-rich environment. The centerpiece of the design features an innovative Swedish glass elevator and staircase system that facilitates the vertical distribution of natural light throughout the structure, creating dynamic light and shadow interplays that blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. The residence, designed for a music-loving family of three, emphasizes spatial fluidity and functionality through its thoughtful layout and material selection, primarily utilizing white and natural wood tones to create a Nordic-inspired atmosphere, complemented by high-quality mahogany furnishings. The project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in spatial design through its sophisticated integration of natural light, modern architectural elements, and careful consideration of the client's lifestyle needs, resulting in a living space that successfully balances aesthetic refinement with practical functionality.
