Wonderland Learning Center is an innovative educational facility design that reimagines traditional learning environments through a thoughtfully crafted interior space concept. The design transforms a typical junior high school gymnasium (25.5m x 30m x 5m) into a dynamic, technology-rich learning environment centered around a signature learning tree feature that serves as both a free book-share hub and a spatial organizing element. The concept emphasizes inclusivity and diverse learning styles through its dual-atmosphere approach, creating distinct zones for various educational activities and social interactions. At its core, the Wonder Café space incorporates a computer bar for device lending and features innovative elements such as private tree house booths, collaborative savanna areas, and climbing hills that promote intellectual, creative, emotional, social, and physical development. The design's material selections and accent lighting deliberately reflect natural growth elements, while the custom learning tree, fabricated using CNC router technology and laser-cut W shaped wood screen inserts, serves as both a functional and symbolic centerpiece. The space employs a sophisticated mix of seating options, including casual elements like pillow and bean bag chairs, to accommodate different learning preferences and comfort needs. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional consideration for safety and supervision through transparent panels and strategic sight lines, while maintaining a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere. The design's technical execution, realized through SketchUp and Enscape rendering software, includes interactive 360-degree panorama walkthroughs and VR capabilities, showcasing its commitment to incorporating cutting-edge technology in both its presentation and functional aspects.
