Wonderful Travel Children's Birthday Candles
Wonderful Travel Children's Birthday Candles is an innovative children's birthday celebration product that reimagines traditional birthday candles through the lens of space exploration themes, designed by Yong Zhang and team at Liaoning Shihua University. This thoughtfully crafted design series, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Baby, Kids and Children's Products Design category, features six distinct astronaut characters that combine storytelling with functional birthday decorations. The collection includes characters such as Larey, the show-off astronaut with big eyes; Rilla, the inventive spaceship creator; Khaki, the carefree runner; Smith, the experienced leader; Maigey, the simple-minded explorer; and Star, the imaginative astronaut. Each candle is meticulously crafted using a sophisticated production process that involves 3D printing for character development, silicone mold creation, and a specialized wax mixture combining paraffin, beeswax, and soybean wax. The candles, measuring 55mm x 55mm x 85mm individually, are presented in two packaging options: 60mm x 60mm x 90mm and 160mm x 40mm x 150mm. This design innovation addresses the substantial market demand for children's birthday celebrations while elevating the traditional birthday candle into an interactive, educational toy that sparks imagination and creates memorable celebrations. The project, completed in 2019, represents a significant advancement in children's party accessories, combining local wax manufacturing expertise with contemporary design sensibilities to create products that appeal to both children's sense of wonder and parents' practical considerations.
