Wise Wireless Sensor
Wise Wireless Sensor is a groundbreaking technological innovation in wireless sensing technology that combines sophisticated hardware engineering with advanced computational algorithms to measure vital signs and human presence without physical contact. This revolutionary sensor system, designed by Yihong Qi and Alex Qi, represents a significant advancement in non-intrusive health monitoring and spatial awareness technology. The system employs a compact yet powerful design featuring seven precisely engineered antennas within a remarkably small 4cm x 4cm form factor and 2mm width, capable of detecting subtle physiological signals such as heartbeat and breath rates from distances up to 3 meters away. Operating on mmWave frequency, particularly in the 60GHz range, the sensor achieves exceptional accuracy through innovative interference reduction techniques and sophisticated signal processing. The technology's development, which began in 2017, addresses critical challenges in wireless vital sign measurement by implementing novel approaches to minimize system noise and environmental interference. The sensor's versatility allows for integration into various applications, from automotive safety and driver health monitoring to smart home systems, demonstrating its potential to transform human-machine interaction. This innovation, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Product Engineering and Technical Design category in 2021, showcases remarkable achievements in miniaturization, signal processing, and practical application of wireless sensing technology. The system's ability to capture, synthesize, and accumulate data through its three-step design process, combined with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, enables unprecedented insights into human behavior and health monitoring, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of wireless sensing technology.
