Wings Residential Space

Wings Residential Space is an innovative architectural project comprising two 25-story twin-star residential buildings, distinguished by their modern wave-like shapes and sustainable design principles. Located in Taichung, Taiwan, this 36,473.4-square-meter development exemplifies contemporary sustainable living through its integration of natural elements and energy-efficient features. The design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious relationship between residential spaces and natural environments, particularly focusing on waterfront and park settings. Each living unit is thoughtfully designed to maximize ventilation and natural lighting while offering expansive viewing horizons. The project's distinctive wavy exterior serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, effectively blocking direct sunlight to reduce indoor air conditioning requirements. Notable environmental features include LED lighting systems with time-controlled operation, balcony gardens creating ecological stepping stones, and the incorporation of native tree species and butterfly-attracting plants at ground level. The development employs advanced sustainability measures, including naturally ventilated light wells for parking areas and a sophisticated rainwater recycling system for landscape irrigation. The glass-facade configuration creates dynamic visual effects while maintaining environmental harmony, and the overall design prioritizes carbon reduction through green building principles. The project, completed in September 2017, has been recognized for its excellence in interior space design, receiving a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to contemporary residential architecture and sustainable living solutions.
