Windy Pavilion Hall is an innovative architectural masterpiece that exemplifies the harmonious integration of built environment with natural surroundings, completed in 2022 in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. This remarkable structure, which earned the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, serves as both a functional viewing space and an artistic interpretation of its mountainous and lakeside setting. The pavilion's design draws inspiration from sea waves transformed into continuous mountain forms, featuring a sophisticated concrete shell structure with a thickness varying from 200 to 500 millimeters. Spanning 540 square meters of construction area within a 714-square-meter plot, the single-story building rises to a height of 4 meters and achieves a volume rate of 0.76. The structure's distinctive architectural elements include three tree-shaped steel columns that provide additional structural support while maintaining aesthetic coherence. The pavilion incorporates practical amenities such as a snack bar, beverage table, bathroom facilities, and rest steps, creating a multifunctional space that serves both leisure and business activities. The building's innovative use of concrete demonstrates a departure from traditional applications, exploring the material's potential for softness and organic form.
