Wind Series Outdoor Furniture Fold
Wind Series Outdoor Furniture Fold is an innovative outdoor furniture collection that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements with functional design, distinguished by its unique folding mechanisms and lightweight construction. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning series, created by designers Wei, Chen and Zhu, encompasses chairs, side tables, and floor lamps that embody the concept of freedom and mobility in outdoor living spaces. The design's primary aesthetic draws inspiration from the ethereal qualities of wind, incorporating constructivist principles through the interplay of arcs and squares. The collection features sophisticated engineering solutions, including a three-step folding mechanism for the table that transforms it into a compact, portable form. The chairs showcase a thoughtful evolution of traditional campstool design, utilizing advanced materials such as Tyvek and Nylon Ribbon for the seating surface, which provides both durability and weather resistance through a specialized double-line stitching technique. The floor lamp component demonstrates particular innovation with its three-dimensional arc frame capable of 360-degree rotation, adding an interactive element to the collection. The manufacturing process combines Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining with meticulous hand-craftsmanship, ensuring precise assembly and structural integrity. Developed in 2018 at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, this furniture series represents a significant advancement in outdoor furniture design, addressing contemporary needs for adaptable, space-efficient solutions while maintaining aesthetic sophistication and environmental consciousness.
