We New Do Beef Hot Pot Restaurant is an innovative culinary establishment and interior design project located in Shenzhen's CBD area, representing a sophisticated fusion of urban dining and pastoral aesthetics. Completed in 2016, this 1,700-square-meter restaurant space was conceptualized by designers Simin Xu, Jia Lin, En Liang, and Yuan Cao to bridge the gap between city dwellers and their connection to nature. The design philosophy centers on the concept of an urban ranch, incorporating elements from the British Industrial Revolution through an artful combination of red brick, wood, and granite materials. The interior features distinctive design elements including gear wall hangings, log iron frames, and vintage phonographs that create a harmonious blend of industrial cool and rustic charm. The space is thoughtfully segmented into various functional areas, including a reception area inspired by mechanical typewriters, dining spaces modeled after British train carriages, and strategically placed VIP boxes. The restaurant's design narrative is enhanced through playful theme paintings, metal chandeliers, and leather rivet furniture, complemented by simulated greenery that evokes a natural ranch atmosphere. The establishment's commitment to authenticity extends to its culinary presentation, with open windows displaying fresh beef preparation techniques. This innovative approach to restaurant design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, successfully creates an immersive dining environment that reconnects urban residents with natural elements while maintaining a sophisticated dining atmosphere.
