Wave LED Lighting System
Wave LED Lighting System is an innovative outdoor illumination solution that exemplifies modern industrial design principles through its sophisticated modular architecture and sustainable approach to urban lighting. Developed by industrial designer Dr. Hakan Gürsu, this advanced lighting fixture incorporates a flexible design philosophy that accommodates varying illumination requirements through its adaptable configuration of 2, 3, or 4 LED modules within a unified chassis system. The system's distinctive feature lies in its aluminum profile design, which can be precision-cut to different lengths, enabling customization while maintaining manufacturing efficiency and material optimization. The construction employs corrosion-resistant aluminum components, including injection-molded body parts and an extruded main chassis, complemented by die-cast aluminum Milestone v2 LED modules that provide versatile illumination options. The system's technical sophistication is evident in its IP66 protection rating and integrated safety features, including automatic power disconnection during maintenance. The design addresses thermal management challenges through careful form optimization, particularly crucial for installations in environments with extreme temperature variations. The fixture's adjustable pole joint, featuring five different angular positions, ensures adaptability to various curved pole installations. Recognized for its excellence in lighting design with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, this system demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining aesthetic appeal with functional efficiency. The Wave LED Lighting System's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its optimized industrial production methods and efficient use of materials, while its modern, streamlined form factor suggests high performance and contemporary design sensibilities.
