Wave Audio
Wave Audio is an innovative Bluetooth speaker that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary audio equipment design. This sophisticated device features a distinctive flowing shape inspired by the natural propagation of sound waves through air, manifesting this concept through a meticulously crafted fabric exterior that creates dynamic light and shadow interplay. The speaker's technical excellence is achieved through a 2-inch ring rare-earth NdFeB high-intensity magnetically driven full-frequency speaker system, complemented by an ultra-thin anodized aluminum vibration cone and a 58mm circular passive radiator, delivering impressive sound pressure levels of up to 90dB with low-frequency response extending to 65Hz. Measuring 110x110x50mm, this compact audio solution demonstrates exceptional attention to ergonomic design through its corrugated shape and non-slip fabric surface, ensuring comfortable handling while maintaining aesthetic sophistication. The device incorporates advanced features including TWS pairing capability for enhanced soundscapes and intuitive top-mounted control buttons. Recognized for its excellence in design with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Audio and Sound Equipment Design category, this speaker represents a significant achievement in combining aesthetic appeal with technical innovation. The design process, spanning from January 2020 to August 2021, involved extensive research and multiple iterations to perfect the wave-like surface patterns and optimize the integration of electronic components within its organic form. The speaker's practical functionality is enhanced by an elastic lanyard system that enables versatile mounting options for various lifestyle applications, from bicycle attachment to backpack securing, making it an exemplar of contemporary portable audio design that prioritizes both performance and practicality.
