Warm Day Residential House

Warm Day Residential House

Warm Day Residential House is an exemplary four-story residential architecture project completed in 2023 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, distinguished by its sophisticated hotel-inspired aesthetic and thoughtful spatial organization. The design, created by Chih Hsien Chen, masterfully integrates natural materials such as stone and wood with clean architectural lines to achieve an elegant ambiance enhanced by carefully considered lighting effects. The 446-square-meter interior demonstrates exceptional space utilization through a well-conceived floor plan that creates distinct separations between private and public areas across multiple levels. The ground floor features a welcoming entry hall and garage, while the second floor serves as the primary social hub with an open-plan layout incorporating living, dining, and study areas. The upper floors house private quarters, including a masterfully designed master bedroom with integrated storage solutions and a secondary bedroom characterized by distinctive rounded arches. The interior design scheme employs a refined palette of muted colors, predominantly featuring sophisticated combinations of black, grey, and natural wood tones, creating a serene atmosphere reminiscent of luxury hospitality spaces. Notable design elements include majestic ink-colored marble surfaces, hand-applied wall treatments, and strategically placed display shelving that breaks up storage volumes to maintain visual interest. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies contemporary residential design through its harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and innovative space planning, particularly evident in its transparent layout that maximizes spatial flow while maintaining privacy zones.
