Warm And White Interior Design
Warm and White Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project completed in 2016 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, demonstrating a sophisticated approach to modern living spaces through the strategic use of color, material, and spatial planning. The design, conceived by Chien-Ming Lai, transforms two adjacent residences into a unified 60-pin space characterized by its boundary-free public areas and abundant natural light. The project's distinctive features include an all-white color scheme as its primary canvas, complemented by wooden elements that create warmth and visual interest through TV wall installations, entranceway details, and hollow ceiling treatments. The design philosophy emphasizes seamless spatial flow, particularly evident in the integration of the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas, catering to the clients' social lifestyle and entertaining preferences. Notable architectural elements include a remodeled curved area converted from a balcony, featuring a wooden platform deck and white window wall that enhances the welcoming atmosphere of the public spaces. The kitchen and dining area is anchored by a prominent bar installation that serves as the family's primary living space, while the bathroom design incorporates a thoughtfully positioned bathtub with expansive views, creating a spa-like retreat. This project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in contemporary residential design through its masterful balance of functionality, aesthetics, and spatial optimization.
