Wanglaoji Recipe 1828 Beverage is an innovative packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese medicine heritage with contemporary beverage packaging aesthetics. Created by designer Tiger Pan in 2017, this sophisticated aluminum can design employs traditional Chinese serial picture artistry to narrate a compelling 189-year historical narrative of herbal medicine practice in southern China. The 310ml beverage container, measuring 72mm in width and 117mm in height, features distinctive spot-color printing on its aluminum surface, complemented by a unique red aluminum-paper cap that serves both functional and symbolic purposes. The design's most notable element is its intricate illustration work, executed by Ping Yi, which transforms the container into a visual scroll depicting the ancient world of Chinese medicine.
