Wang Xi Fashion Studio Retail Space is an innovative retail environment and fashion designer brand store that exemplifies the seamless integration of form and function in contemporary interior design. Conceived and executed by designer Qiangqiang Mi and team, this 81-square-meter space masterfully translates the conceptual essence of fabric and clothing into architectural elements. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the inherent qualities of textiles, incorporating curved walls and organic forms that echo the fluidity and tactile nature of fashion materials. The space efficiently accommodates multiple functions within its limited footprint, featuring a 30-square-meter workplace harmoniously integrated with a 50-square-meter retail area. The interior's distinctive features include a strategically positioned dressing room that serves as both a functional necessity and a spatial rhythm controller, while a semi-enclosed tea break area maintains visual connectivity with the main entrance through thoughtfully designed window treatments. The material palette, dominated by Lan Sen Fire board, terrazzo floor tiles, and elm wood, creates a sophisticated atmosphere that complements the fashion-focused environment. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional space optimization through its innovative layout, where the clothing workshop is discretely positioned in the most secluded area while the display space is enveloped in what the designers poetically refer to as the skirt of the space, creating a cohesive retail experience that elevates the brand's presence and enhances customer interaction.
