Wallful Wall Poster
Wallful Wall poster is an innovative interactive wall covering system that represents a significant advancement in interior design technology. This intelligent wall poster, designed by Lin Xu in collaboration with Zhen Hua Huang, Ying Zhang, and Jin Yan, integrates sophisticated digital technology with traditional wall decoration concepts. The system consists of a multi-layered construction featuring tempered glass as its outermost layer, incorporating both capacitive touch screen and OLED display technologies. This sophisticated combination enables users to modify wall colors, adjust brightness levels, and create digital artwork through a dedicated smartphone application. Available in three dimensional variants (600mm×600mm, 800mm×800mm, and 1000mm×1000mm), the design employs a specialized adhesive backing system for seamless wall integration. The product's innovative features address common interior design challenges, particularly the traditionally permanent nature of wall treatments and the need for frequent repainting. Its child-friendly interface allows for creative expression through digital doodling and writing capabilities, with the added functionality of saving and erasing content at will. Developed during a three-month period in Shanghai in 2017, this conceptual design emerged from extensive research into home furnishing needs and technological possibilities. The project, which garnered recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category, demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to interactive home environments, combining practical functionality with technological innovation.
