This sophisticated buffet system, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, comprises carrying tables and versatile buffet units that can be configured for both electrical and non-electrical heating and cooling applications. The system accommodates standard 1/1 and 2/1 GN sizes, offering remarkable flexibility in food service operations. A distinguishing feature is its ingenious horizontal folding table mechanism, which achieves up to 80% space reduction when not in use, while the portable buffet units can be efficiently stored in cabinets. The design incorporates robust engineering that enables tables to be interconnected through bridging or linking components, creating customizable serving lines. The buffet system's technical specifications are meticulously calculated, with 1/1 hot buffets measuring 425x760x670mm and cold buffets at 425x760x765mm, while 2/1 variants extend to 850x760x670mm for hot units and 850x760x765mm for cold units. The carrying tables are available in 2/1 (910x800x780mm) and 4/1 (1760x800x780mm) configurations. This versatile system, developed through extensive field research and practical observations of hospitality operations, addresses the modern hospitality industry's need for flexible food service solutions, enabling service delivery in diverse locations including hallways, rooftop decks, poolsides, and gardens. The design successfully overcomes significant technical challenges in integrating hot, cold, and ambient systems while maintaining structural integrity without compromising its folding capability.
