Visual Feedback
Visual Feedback is a way for a user interface to show a user that something has happened after an action, like clicking a button or moving a slider. In UI design, visual feedback can include things like a button changing color when pressed, a loading spinner appearing after a form is submitted, or a progress bar filling up as a file uploads. One important fact is that even a delay of 100 milliseconds in visual feedback can make users feel like the system is slow, so designers often use animations or quick color changes to keep users engaged while the system processes their request. Visual feedback can guide users step by step, helping them know what to do next or confirming that their action worked, which makes digital products easier to use.
