View Of The World Interior Design

View Of The World Interior Design

View of the World Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in 2016 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, that masterfully combines contemporary aesthetics with classical elements across its expansive 230-square-meter space. The design, created by Po-Min Chang and Mei-Ching Pan, showcases a harmonious integration of living spaces including a living room, study room, dining room, and kitchen, all unified through a sophisticated approach to spatial planning and material selection. The project's distinctive features include its innovative ceiling treatment, where varying heights are transformed into an architectural feature through a pile-up method reminiscent of staircase structures, effectively addressing structural challenges while creating visual interest. The interior's color palette demonstrates exceptional sophistication, particularly in the living room where sea green, grey, and orange furnishings create a cohesive visual statement, complemented by pearl grey marble and black-framed elements on the TV wall. The design incorporates Mondrian-style geometric patterns in cabinet doors, merging aesthetic appeal with functionality. Notable elements include the walnut-finished back cabinets in the study area, enhanced by strategic lighting that highlights the material's natural texture, and the dining area's striking contrast between muted tones and dramatic golden tube pendant lighting. The space's proximity to an art museum influences its cultural ambiance, while large windows provide panoramic city views, contributing to the residence's majestic atmosphere. This design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and aesthetic achievement.
