Vicky In Wonderland Private Homes

Vicky In Wonderland Private Homes

Vicky in Wonderland Private Homes is an innovative interior design project that reimagines residential space through a creative interpretation of the Alice in Wonderland narrative, executed across 410 square meters in Ningbo, China. Completed in 2022 by architect Changching Chien, this distinctive residential design breaks away from traditional spatial configurations by implementing a fluid, continuous layout that deliberately blurs conventional boundary lines between functional areas. The design's conceptual framework draws inspiration from children's storytelling while maintaining sophisticated architectural principles, incorporating irregular plane mirrors, creative geometric patterns, and strategically positioned elements that create a harmonious visual journey. The project's architectural language is characterized by its trapezoidal structure, enhanced by embedded lighting solutions that seamlessly blend artificial and natural light sources, creating an immersive environment that encourages exploration and discovery. The design's innovative approach to spatial organization is evident in its integration of outdoor elements, such as the introduction of jungle trail motifs and creative geometric sewage pipe designs, which contribute to the project's unique aesthetic identity. The interior features a carefully curated color palette of low saturation tones punctuated by playful decorative elements, while the implementation of continuous visual lines and thoughtful material selection creates a sophisticated yet whimsical atmosphere. This exceptional design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to innovative residential interior design. The project successfully balances practical functionality with artistic expression, utilizing advanced lighting techniques and geometric forms to create a dynamic living environment that challenges traditional residential design conventions.
