Verse Of Tact Residential Interior Design

Verse Of Tact Residential Interior Design

Verse of Tact Residential Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of vintage aesthetics with contemporary sustainable practices. Inspired by Gaston Bachelard's philosophical work The Poetics of Space, this 152-square-meter apartment interior masterfully balances traditional elements with modern design sensibilities through its thoughtful material selection and spatial arrangement. The design, created by Hsin-Ting Weng, incorporates sustainable materials and construction methods, featuring a patent up-cycling topcoat made from local reservoir sediments for cement finishing, preserved red brick walls with intact mortar, and botanically-inspired wallpapers that eliminate traditional painting waste. The project's distinctive character emerges through its careful integration of emerald marble, decorative floral glass patterns, and oxidized brass paneling, creating a sophisticated dialogue between historical and contemporary design elements. The open-concept living area seamlessly combines various functional zones, including a piano area, audio devices, dining section, and bar station, while maintaining a sense of spacious coherence. The project, which was completed in 2020, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to sustainable luxury and spatial poetry. The design successfully addresses contemporary concerns about excessive interior decoration by implementing waste-reduction strategies and material reuse, while still achieving an aesthetically refined and functionally optimal living environment that resonates with both classic and modern design sensibilities.
