Vegetable Dough Toolset

Vegetable Dough Toolset

Vegetable Dough Toolset is an innovative children's play equipment designed to enhance creative development through interactive dough manipulation, featuring ergonomically designed implements inspired by familiar vegetables and fruits. This educational toolset, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Toys, Games and Hobby Products Design category, incorporates thoughtfully crafted components including an eggplant-shaped rolling pin with optimized diameter and body curve for improved handling, a round carrot-shaped cutter for enhanced grip, and a mushroom-shaped extruder that allows children to observe the dough transformation process. Developed through extensive ergonomic research and prototyping between January 2019 and January 2021, the design prioritizes child-friendly dimensions and comfortable handling to prevent fatigue during extended play sessions. The toolset, manufactured through injection molding processes, aims to cultivate six fundamental developmental areas: creativity, concentration, cognition, logic, aesthetics, and expression skills. Distinguished by its departure from conventional geometric-based dough tools, this design integrates familiar produce shapes to create an engaging play experience that simultaneously develops fine motor skills and artistic expression. The comprehensive package, measuring 35cm x 23cm x 21cm, includes various implements for cutting, pressing, and squeezing actions, enabling children to create diverse dough shapes while developing hand-eye coordination and imaginative thinking capabilities.
