Vector – Vacuity Vs. Reality Residential House
Vector – Vacuity vs. Reality Residential House is an innovative four-story residential building project that exemplifies contemporary architectural design through its thoughtful integration of form and function, completed in 2013 in Zhubei City, Taiwan. The 264.5-square-meter structure distinguishes itself through its sophisticated exterior facade, featuring precast concrete panels with faux wood grain texture, complemented by longitudinal openings and hidden balcony spaces that create a seamless architectural entity. The design's distinctive approach places the entrance on the side, establishing a natural vestibule between interior and exterior spaces, while maintaining visual continuity across the facade. The interior design demonstrates exceptional spatial planning, with the first floor dedicated to public areas including the living room and kitchen, where stone material on the vestibule wall and longitudinal windows facilitate a dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. Notable interior elements include an independent TV wall that maximizes storage efficiency while adding visual interest, and a living room featuring uniquely styled sofas with saturated colors, enhanced by 3D cloud decorations on the main walls. The entertainment room showcases acoustic engineering excellence through the strategic use of sound-dampening fabric on both sides and wooden grille ceiling elements, combined with a metal open shelf that optimizes sound quality. This project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a harmonious blend of architectural innovation and practical living space, demonstrating exceptional attention to material selection, spatial flow, and aesthetic coherence throughout its design.
