VANKE Emerald Riverside 300 Residence

VANKE Emerald Riverside 300 Residence

VANKE Emerald Riverside 300 Residence is an exemplary luxury residential interior design project completed in Shanghai, China, that masterfully challenges conventional minimalist approaches to modern living spaces. Located in the prestigious Lujiazui Riverside area, this 300-square-meter apartment represents a significant departure from utilitarian minimalism, instead embracing an artistic fusion of comfort and sophistication. The design, completed in July 2016, features a striking 270-degree French window system that captures panoramic views of the Huangpu River, while the interior spaces showcase a thoughtful blend of contemporary aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship. The residence's design philosophy draws inspiration from the Renaissance era, particularly the Raphael period's emphasis on meticulous artisanship. The interior scheme employs a sophisticated palette of light gray and dark green as primary colors, complemented by touches of purple and gold in specific areas such as the master bedroom. Notable design elements include an abstract decorative painting serving as a focal point, innovative metal cabinetry characterized by linear stacking, and carefully selected furniture pieces including an L-shaped sofa upholstered in premium fabric. The dining area features distinctive curved elements that contrast with traditional geometric forms, including uniquely designed bamboo-footed chairs that required extensive manual crafting. This award-winning project, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, exemplifies a successful integration of artistic expression with functional living space, creating an environment that honors both luxury and livability while maintaining a strong connection to its riverside setting.
