Valley House Residence
Valley House Residence is an exemplary architectural masterpiece located in Vale dos Cristais Condominium, Nova Lima, Brazil, distinguished by its harmonious integration of modern design principles with natural surroundings. This 700-square-meter residential structure, completed in 2017, represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary living, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category. The residence's design philosophy centers on creating fluid spaces with generous lighting and cross-ventilation, featuring pivoting doors that open to an expansive hall connecting various living areas. The architectural composition masterfully incorporates traditional Brazilian materials including wood, stone, brick, and raw cement, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining modern aesthetic sensibilities. The home's innovative layout encompasses social, leisure, and service areas on the first floor, with the kitchen serving as a central hub connected to all primary living spaces. Notable design elements include an internal winter garden that enhances thermal comfort and air circulation, extensive glass installations that maximize the panoramic views, and thoughtfully integrated outdoor spaces including a pool deck, spa, and sauna. The residence's design excellence is evident in its ability to balance privacy with social connectivity, featuring spaces that can be easily integrated or isolated according to use requirements. The architecture demonstrates exceptional consideration for environmental factors through its implementation of natural lighting and ventilation systems, while the integration of affective memories through material selection and spatial planning creates a deeply personal living environment that honors both modern architectural principles and the emotional needs of its inhabitants.
