USG Booth Exhibition Stand is an innovative exhibition space design that exemplifies the convergence of architectural ingenuity and structural engineering, distinguished by its groundbreaking inverse pyramidal structure that defies conventional gravitational logic. This remarkable exhibition stand, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in ephemeral architecture through its distinctive single-point structural support system. The design encompasses a substantial area of 150 square meters while maintaining an exceptionally minimal footprint of just 0.5 square meters, showcasing an extraordinary feat of engineering and spatial design. The structure rises to a height of 7 meters within a 7x21-meter floor plan, utilizing ultra-light gypsum panels for both wall and ceiling applications to demonstrate innovative lightweight construction possibilities. The stand's geometric composition draws inspiration from contemporary architectural principles, incorporating triangular and trapezoidal forms that create a compelling visual narrative while emphasizing the material's inherent properties. The design's most notable feature is its ability to support approximately 10 tons of weight through a single structural vertex, achieved through a sophisticated adaptation of Vierendeel beam principles, where the structure becomes more robust at its base and progressively more slender towards its extremities. This architectural solution not only creates an unobstructed exhibition space accessible from all angles but also serves as a powerful demonstration of advanced construction techniques and materials.
