User-Centred Design

User-Centred Design (UCD) is a process of designing products and services by taking into account the requirements and opinions of the end-users. It is a user-oriented approach to the design process, based on the principles of usability and making the product experience as user-friendly as possible. Famous artist, Donald Norman, was a pioneer in UCD, and is considered a founder of the discipline. One of his most influential works includes The Design of Everyday Things, which highlights the importance of the user experience in product design.
