Urban Oasis Residential House

Urban Oasis Residential House

Urban Oasis Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature-inspired elements within an urban dwelling context. Located in Yangmei, Taiwan, this 132-square-meter townhouse masterfully combines resort-style aesthetics with practical living spaces through its sophisticated use of green as the primary color scheme, complemented by carefully selected material textures and architectural elements. The design, created by Hsuan-Chih Chou and Wei Wen-Pei, features a distinctive vertical spatial arrangement where public and private areas are thoughtfully separated across different floors. The second floor houses an open-concept public area, incorporating the living and dining rooms, characterized by its verdant aesthetic treatment and innovative material applications. The space showcases remarkable attention to detail, featuring a striking green wall adorned with circular ornaments in the living room, complemented by a white cultured stone TV wall that evokes a countryside atmosphere. The dining area demonstrates material sophistication through its green brick wall, wooden ceiling battens, and an elegant rain tree dining table. The third floor accommodates two bedrooms, each expressing distinct design personalities - the master bedroom employs geometric patterns to enliven gray tones, while the second bedroom captures the refined ambiance of a boutique hotel, complete with a cleverly designed reading area utilizing wood and glass elements. This project, which was completed in 2016 and received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a successful synthesis of environmental consciousness, aesthetic refinement, and functional space optimization, effectively creating an urban sanctuary that responds to the client's appreciation for country living while maintaining contemporary design sensibilities.
