Urban Forest Interior Design
Urban Forest Interior Design is an innovative interior architectural project completed in 2017, situated in an emerging redevelopment zone of Taichung City, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates sustainable living principles with sophisticated design elements across its 599-square-meter space. This distinguished residential project, designed by Li-Jen Chang, exemplifies a harmonious fusion between urban development and environmental consciousness, featuring a high-grade apartment complex adjacent to a park that emphasizes the connection between built and natural environments. The design's cornerstone philosophy revolves around environmental protection and sustainable living, manifested through carefully selected construction materials and thoughtful spatial planning. Notable features include large ceiling windows in the luxuriant lobby that not only showcase exclusive aesthetics but also maximize natural light and panoramic views. The public areas are meticulously crafted to enhance quality of life and human interaction, with a particularly striking reading area adorned with irregular suspending lamps that creates an intellectual atmosphere. The design adheres to principles of simplicity and extravagance while maintaining environmental intimacy, resulting in an atmosphere that balances poise, opulence, and contemporary fashion. The project's sustainable approach is further emphasized through its integration with the surrounding environment, incorporating elements such as reflective pools and green spaces that create a sophisticated living experience. This exceptional work was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to innovative spatial design and sustainable architectural practices. The project successfully demonstrates how interior design can create environments that are both luxurious and environmentally conscious, setting new standards for sustainable urban living.
