Unprocessed Gutta-percha
Gutta-percha is a natural polymer that is obtained from the latex of several species of trees that are native to Southeast Asia. The latex is collected by making incisions in the bark of the tree, and then the milky fluid that exudes is collected and coagulated. The coagulated latex is then washed, dried, and processed to obtain gutta-percha.
