Uno Eco Smart Garden

Uno Eco Smart Garden

Uno Eco Smart Garden is an innovative self-watering terracotta pot system that represents a sophisticated fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern horticultural technology. Handcrafted in Italy, this smart gardening solution features a carefully engineered automated watering system that makes plant cultivation accessible to both experienced gardeners and novices alike. The design, created by Marco Coletti in 2018, draws inspiration from the medieval hortus conclusus tradition and incorporates the ancient Roman Olla watering technology in a contemporary context. The system consists of two primary components: an unglazed terracotta upper vessel and a glazed ceramic base that serves as a water reservoir. The terracotta composition has been meticulously developed to achieve optimal porosity ratios for natural plant hydration, ensuring consistent and appropriate moisture levels for healthy plant growth. Available in various aesthetic finishes including anthracite, matt white, peach orange, light blue, and dark green, the pot features a modular and asymmetric geometry that measures 12 x 12 x 10.4 centimeters. The design's versatility is enhanced by its compatibility with the Meno growing lamp system, allowing for expansion into additional configurations known as Due and Tre. This eco-conscious design, which won the Iron A' Design Award in the Decorative Items and Homeware Design category, exemplifies sustainable innovation in indoor gardening solutions, combining aesthetic appeal with functional excellence while maintaining a commitment to environmental responsibility through its use of natural materials and eco-friendly packaging.
