Une Lobby
Une Lobby is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of classical elegance and natural elements within a contemporary architectural context. Created by designer Li Huei Wang, this 990-square-meter space masterfully integrates dynamic and static elements, drawing inspiration from both French aesthetics and Chinese philosophical principles of Yin and Yang. The design's signature features include abstract glittering trees that create an immediate visual impact upon entry, complemented by geometric lines and giant doors that effectively extend visitors' sightlines throughout the space. The ceiling serves as a canvas for intricate golden lines resembling tree branches, while the rest area showcases a distinctive butterfly motif that creates a seamless connection between the interior space and the external garden. The project, completed in 2016, demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship through its extensive use of hand-crafted elements, including manually constructed golden tree formations and crystal lighting fixtures, all executed in premium materials such as marble, titanium metal, gold foil, and crystal. The design philosophy emphasizes the delicate balance between movement and stillness, achieved through thoughtful architectural elements such as arc-shaped walls and strategic seating arrangements. This sophisticated interpretation of lobby design, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in creating spaces that blend functionality with artistic expression, while maintaining a strong connection to both natural elements and cultural heritage.
