Una Luna Collection Candy Packaging is an innovative and artistically conceived packaging design for premium liqueur-infused chocolates that exemplifies the intersection of confectionery presentation and abstract artistic expression. Created by Ukrainian designer Olha Takhtarova, this distinctive packaging solution departs from conventional candy packaging norms by interpreting the energy and character of each chocolate flavor through abstract brush strokes and unexpected artistic elements. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, features a sophisticated black background complemented by dynamic visual elements enhanced through embossed gold foil and selective varnish applications. The packaging structure consists of a precisely dimensioned shell (227mm x 83mm) and base bottom (226mm x 82mm), engineered to protect and present the artisanal Italian chocolates within. Each variant in the collection represents different liqueur-based flavors, from horseradish tincture with honey to raspberry, orange, and cranberry, through distinct artistic interpretations - for instance, the horseradish tincture with honey and lemon is expressed through a swirl of green-blue-yellow strokes, while the raspberry variant blooms with vibrant pink gestures. The design's technical execution involves full-color printing on cardboard, with strategic use of embossing and selective varnishing to highlight the artistic elements, creating a premium unboxing experience that transforms each package into a collectible art piece. This innovative approach to packaging design successfully bridges the gap between functional packaging and artistic expression, while effectively communicating the premium nature of the product and its unique flavor profiles through abstract visual language.
