Umma Indoor Outdoor Armchair

Umma Indoor Outdoor Armchair is an innovative and versatile seating solution that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of form and function in contemporary furniture design. Conceived by Brazilian designer Ariane Rosa, this sophisticated piece seamlessly transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, characterized by its distinctive use of aluminum framework and nautical rope detailing. The chair's structural integrity is achieved through its 100% recyclable aluminum construction, while its aesthetic appeal is enhanced by the artful integration of nautical rope elements and weather-resistant technical fabric upholstery. Distinguished by its graceful curves and seamless lines, the design demonstrates exceptional attention to ergonomic considerations with dimensions of 900mm width, 700mm depth, and 800mm height, carefully calibrated to ensure optimal comfort. The chair's design philosophy emphasizes sustainability and adaptability, featuring water-resistant padding and technical fabrics that enable its dual-purpose functionality. This versatile piece, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a significant achievement in addressing the challenge of creating aesthetically pleasing, technically sophisticated furniture that maintains comfort and sustainability. The design's coastal and nautical influences are evident in its composition, creating a timeless aesthetic that evokes a sense of leisure and sophistication, while its modular design principles allow for variations including chairs, stools, loveseats, and swings, all derived from the same basic elements.
