Two Side Up
Two Side Up is an image composition technique used in anime, comics and manga for drawing character hairs and hairstyles. This technique consists of a basic two-level approach, with the underlying strands running from the top of the wig or hair to the middle, and then from the middle to the bottom. The strands of hair often overlap each other, giving it a thicker, 3D effect. This technique is often used to create a variety of hairstyles such as braids, twirls and curls, as well as adding texture and depth to hair designs.
