TuttoTondo Washbasin
TuttoTondo Washbasin is a sophisticated luxury monolithic bathroom fixture that represents a innovative fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category. This modular washbasin system, designed by Giuliano Ricciardi, consists of three marble column elements and a basin component, ingeniously connected by steel ferrules that serve both structural and functional purposes. The design philosophy liberates the washbasin from conventional wall-mounted constraints, drawing inspiration from historical bedroom washbasins while reimagining their functionality for modern contexts. The system's distinguishing feature lies in its adaptable steel ferrules, which not only ensure structural integrity but also accommodate various accessories including mirrors, shelves, and containers, enabling multiple configurations to suit diverse user requirements. Crafted using advanced CNC technology for marble components and waterjet cutting for steel elements, the washbasin measures 450mm in width and depth, with a height of 850mm. The modular construction methodology not only facilitates efficient serial production but also minimizes material waste, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. The design's technical sophistication is balanced with aesthetic minimalism, creating a harmonious blend of form and function. The use of premium materials - specifically, the combination of refined marble with high-tech steel elements - establishes TuttoTondo as a luxury bathroom centerpiece that can be approached and utilized from any angle, making it suitable for various spatial arrangements while maintaining its sculptural presence.
